Portable radio system for mountaineering instructors and guides.
The VOKKERO "VOK-SNOW" is a radiocommunications system for continous and hands-free communication over a radius up to 800m (one half-mile) between up to 6 users. It can be used by group instructors (with up to 5 students) or while training or during slalom competitions. In the warmer months, it facilitates the monitoring of adventure sports and mountain bike trainers.
VOK-SNOW has already been adopted by many ski schools, and is very much appreciated for communication clarity, which is made possible even at high speeds, thanks to the efficiency of its noise filter.
This light, sturdy and watertight (IP54) radio equipment is shock-resistant and can be safely used in challenging weather conditions.
Vokkero sponsors Nicolas Berejny (visually impaired), gold medal holder in giant slalom for the Turin 2006 paralympic games and the 2009 Giant slalom world championship. This system is essential to provide communication between the athlete and his guide, at all times.
Strong points:
* Full duplex system for instant communication with no Push-To-Talk button.
* Licence-free usable frequencies.
* Multiple-channel that makes it possible to use several systems on the same site.
* High performance noise filters that eliminate any bothersome noises (wind, ski lifts....) and thus ensure optimal listening quality.
* Autonomous system, with no base station.

Bureau/Office Courchevel, COURCHEVEL’S HIGH MOUNTAIN GUIDES
The snow has arrived and the tourist season is in full swing in the heart of the Alps. Many travelers are seeking new experiences, as the High Mountain Guides’ office in Courchevel can testify.
“Our clients are looking for new forms of excitement. Beginners and experienced mountaineers all share the same desire to get off the beaten track and enjoy a unique skiing experience in a magnificent setting. We accompany them on off-trail descents, which are very closely supervised as we’re in a high mountain environment with all the dangers that comes with it.
That’s why we’re equipped with the VOK-SNOW hands-free radio-communication system. There’s no such thing as zero risk, even for an experienced high mountain guide, so our top priority is to ensure that our clients are safe. And VOK-SNOW makes a big contribution to that goal.
It’s quick to start up and easy to use, so our clients get used to it very quickly. Apart from the fun and educational aspects of VOK-SNOW, it allows us to keep in continuous contact, which is very reassuring.
We now use VOK-SNOW for all the activities that we offer (off-trail skiing, climbing, hiking, etc.). The system offers real advantages and we would never consider working without what has become an essential aid.
