Vokkero

Millennium works in the field of risk mapping and in particular measurements in the primary circuits of nuclear power stations. Despite the radioactive environment, this company is succeeding in limiting the exposure of its workforce.

How has it done so? By applying a tried and tested method of measurement and by reducing exposure time using the Vokkero® radio communication system.

Explanations:
A pair of engineers goes into the field to carry out the measurements. While one of the operatives takes the measurements, the other remains at the "ALARA" green point (radiation refuge). Equipped with the Vokkero® system, the first reads the value from the measuring device out loud while the second records it in real-time on the appropriate tools.

The advantages of using Vokkero :

• Increased efficiency: no loss of time linked to recording the results.
• Significant reduction in stress levels due to the "voice" presence of an operative.

The VOKKERO® system was also adopted by Field Hockey referees during the National Women's Championship that took place in Washington. They were impressed by the contribution the VOKKERO® system made to the whole refereeing team.

Steve Horgan, a national referee and technical director stated: "Instead of having to stop the game in the middle of play to respond to an appeal or discuss a doubtful decision, questions can be communicated clearly, effectively and instantaneously between referees using the VOKKERO® wireless communication system, thus keeping the fluidity of the game."

Terry Walsh, "High Performance Director" of Field Hockey  added: "The VOKKERO®system is used at international level and I am happy to see that we have taken a step forward by adopting this technology to improve the quality of the game."

CONCACAF, the international football organization in the United States, has in fact adopted VOKKERO®, ADEUNIS RF'S wireless communication system dedicated to top-level sports referees.
